ARTIST STATEMENT

‘Deconstruct to Reconstruct’ – As an artist, she is continually seeking ways to materialize personal thoughts from daily contemplation. Her work explores the very emotional perception and physical behavior (body language) of subjects and objects in space; with a special focus on how alignment and color impact this approach.

She draws inspiration from the tension between colors and textures, (dance) body movement in space, form and patterns. Often, her pieces are fragmented thoughts creating oneiric entities that fall for abstract compositions.

With an emphasis on collage techniques, she creates most of her artworks combining old-school techniques with new media tools. Every title is strongly connected to the narrative of each piece.
