Inessa Emmer

I’m focused on printed graphics, especially on woodcuts. The last few years I have been working primarily on large sized prints on cotton.

An important aspect of my work is the diversity of colors. Printing color over color brings variations and a lot of depth in my prints.
Another characteristic of my woodcuts is the combination of two different cutting techniques. On one hand I use a gauge to cut figures into wood; on the other hand I use a saw to build stamps for the eye-catching parts.
