Christina Puth

b 1967 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Lives and works in Düsseldorf.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The works of the German-Australian artist Christina Puth show places and dwellings, which generate associations and memories. Her images refer to the „duplicity of home“ and a life between and with two cultures.
The hybridity of spaces and memories is explored in a combination of photography, painting and printmaking.
Perspective and space are important in her works.

In her series „Heimation“ (Heimat and Migration) the artist combines places, landscapes and architectures from Germany and Australia, which only come together in her images – not in reality.
