Anett Münnich is interested in the relationship between mankind and nature with a special focus on preservation values. On the one hand, the artist directs attention to the imprints of civilization. On the other hand, she depicts nature in its beauty and impermanence. Throughout her work, the moment of recognition is always granted special attention.
To this aim, Münnich examines processes of change and the resulting effects. For the pictorial implementation, the artist embraces recurring structures, lines, surfaces and color combinations from nature and processes these in very different ways with a combination of several artistic techniques. Of particular importance is the use of line as a representation of movement and change, of compression and focus, and of limitation and delimitation. The resulting images and visual objects are created with a unique language of form.
