“Tapouchi (1981) earned her MFA at the Faculty of Arts – Hamidrasha at Beit Berl College. She combines still photography and video in researching how fields of knowledge – including architecture, psychology and education – transform society. Her work investigates social constructs that manifest the normalization of power. Do power, coercion, and surveillance inevitably condition social life? Power strives to be unreachable, but is it an individuals’ creation, or is rather an instrument of oppression exercised upon them?”
