My works start with thoughts, but the image is a non-verbal creation, knowable mainly intuitively. I do not add theory to my works, I do not translate them, I give hints in the form of the title of the picture, or the title of the series, and I leave the viewer in this experience. Another key is intuition, an underestimated way of knowing, seen as naive and marginal to logical thinking, but it is a gateway to deep layers of subconscious knowledge. Logical and intuitive thinking complement each other, do not deny each other. Words often stand in the way between the image and the viewer, they are unnecessary, they do not contribute anything, and they can even hinder reception, the more that the essence of the image is not the shape and the color and distanced aesthetic analysis, but its essence is the one almost elusive, visible only to the mind. As I wrote in my 2011 manifesto: “A work of art becomes in vision. It is a growth of reality, not a copy having an equivalent in reality. It is an event of truth, the discovery of the essence of being.”
